Lord of Glory You arose

Conquered death and so it goes

My God is Glorious

So many secret scars I bear

A child of dust , weak and frail

Some days I haven’t got a prayer

My enemy tempts me to fail

But My God is glorious

His grace is sufficient for me

He gives me faithful eyes to see

Addicted to the praise of men

And fearful of critique

My heart’s a factory for sin

Lord knows my flesh is weak

If it’s not done in faith it’s sin

This is the reality

So my deeds and all I’ve been

The Power of Your Word

The word of the Lord carries power

Power to raise up the dead

Every galaxy and every flower

Are held fast by the word He has said

Every word that has ever proceeds

From the mouth of our Lord lets us live

By the power of His word all our needs

Are overwhelmingly met by what he gives

And the power of your word gives us light

And the power of your word life flows

For Your Word reveals the power of your might

There we know and understand what He shows

Your word is a lamp and light

Your Word is a two edged sword

Your word divides wrong from right

And reveals the heart of our Lord

All the universe your word sustains

Held together and consists

And all that remains 

And all that exists

God help the orphan and the child that is abused

God help the single Mom who is bereft and confused

God help the poor man with his back against the wall

God help us , help us all.

God help the addict with the needle in her arm

God help the raging man who wants to do some harm

God help the streetwalker who is waiting for a call

God help us, help us all

God help the man who is wise in his own eyes

God help the prideful pagan who does not realize

We are astray and don’t even know it

We live in fear and are too afraid to show it

God help the cancer ridden patient in his pain

God help the madman who is going quite insane

God help the victims of the rampage at the mall

God help the divorcee who was betrayed and left alone

God help the hypocrite suffering from seeds he’s sown

God help the high and mighty facing their downfall
