That’s the way the wheel turns
You can count on it being true
Men build their Babels and live in those towers
Any presupposition will do.
But the walls keep tumbling down
The truth is still setting men free
So pity the fool and the clown
Who thinks they write their destiny
So turn on the light And let the wheels turn
The blind get their sight When the True truth they learn.
You may think you’re smarter than God
You may think it’s all under control
But when it shakes out at the end of the day
You just only fooling your soul
The factory of idols churns
All pretty and shallow and bright
There’s some kind of worship at every turn
But who forgot to turn on the light
So turn on the light And let the wheels turn
The blind get their sight When the True truth they learn.
Assumptions are having your spirit for lunch
When you go with your feelings or go with a hunch
That’s just the way the wheel turns today
What goes around comes around they say
For every win there a loss and a related gut punch
Yeah, turn on the light And let the wheels turn
The blind get their sight When the True truth they learn.
So turn on the light And let the wheels turn
The blind get their sight When the True truth they learn.
