Lifted up to drink the cup
While nailed upon a tree
The crucified bled and died
On a hill called Calvary
We stand in awe of what angels saw
Of the price He chose to pay
God’s wrath He took-And so we look
Back on that great, great day
It is His plan to come again
In power to return
In glorious light and majestic might
To claim the rights He earned
And so we yearn for His return
For in Him destiny is defined
When every knee shall bow and see
The judge of all mankind
Every tongue will confess His name
For glory now is beckoning
His finished work we shall proclaim
On the day of reckoning
From Cornerstone to Kingdom Come
We are piling up judgment or praise
We’ll arise in time, when day is done
Now we live between two great days
