I Pray Thee Lord

I pray thee Lord your will to learn

It is no secret to discern

It is not hidden or concealed

Your wisdom in your Word’s revealed

Open my eyes

Lord make me wise

For you will be my treasure and my prize

Open my ears

Lord make me hear

And then to heed by faith and fain my fear

A lamp unto my feet, unto my path a light

The very source of truth and sight

Your very wisdom is my need

I would follow where Your Spirit leads

Open my eyes

Lord make me wise

Open my soul 

To your Spirit’s control

Then folly will fall and my heart will be whole
