Wonder and Worship

Stars collapse in silence light-years away

While I breathe the quiet at the end of the day

A cosmos spinning on a canvas so wide

But there is something greater where we can abide

For I have been given the eyes to see

The weight of the cross and the weight of glory

Chorus

What a privilege to stand here in holy awe

I looked at mystery and wondered at what I saw

I fall to my knees when the words have fallen shy

To be graced with a place in the infinite Why

It is a gift to be undone by the ponderous view

The wonder of worship is the wonder of You

Holy, Holy, Lord of matchless worth

Your glorious weight fills up the longing earth

I am undone by the wonder of Your grace

A wandering heart now home in Your embrace

My strength may fail, along with all my endeavors

But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever

(Bridge)

Humbled under the canopy of grace

A fragile heart in a boundless space

The honor isn't in knowing the plan

The honor is being a humbled man

To look up in worship, to bow down

To lose my breath, to cast my crown

What a privilege to stand here in holy awe

I looked at mystery and wondered at what I saw

I fall to my knees when the words have fallen shy

To be graced with a place in the infinite Why

It is a gift to be undone by the ponderous view

The wonder of worship is the wonder of You

Cleave to the Lord (High Calling)

Cleave to the Lord with all your heart

Do the things that are before- press toward the mark

The high calling of God is the great prize

So on Jesus Christ, set your eyes!

Your lot in life may seem unfair

And your position difficult to bear

Cleave to the Lord, He will not forsake you

Cleave to Him, the world will not overtake you

Though the cross be heavy and the fight be hard

He himself will be His very Best reward

So look forward, look onward to the end

For the Best is yet to come

Time is short, and the end draws near

When the good fight will be done

Now labor on, work on, strive on

Strive till the souls of others are won
Pray on through these latter days

For God‘s glory and his praise

So look forward, look onward to the end

For the Best is yet to come

Time is short, and the end draws near

When the good fight will be done

Rest for Your Soul

Walk in the old path says the Lord

And you will find rest for your souls

There is nothing new that can afford

The holy rest that makes you whole

For a rest of conscience is the secret need

Of a vast portion of mankind

And there is no work and there is no deed

Where in true rest you can find

Come and find rest of your soul

Come and find rest for your soul

Come cast your burdens- give Christ control

Come and find rest for your soul

That present sense of wrongness grows

Do you understand the cause?

But every heavy-laden sinner knows

That hunger that inside them gnaws

And riches and pleasures cannot give

The things you’re so will be blessed

Passed off your burden, come to live

In the Christ, who will give you rest

Come and find rest of your soul

Come and find rest for your soul

Come cast your burdens- give Christ control

Come and find rest for your soul
