The Heart of the Gospel

The heart of the Gospel is the Good News

That Christ Jesus died for our Sins

So that His own could be raised  to new life

From the grave He arose again

He accomplished a perfect righteousness

Before His Father’s Holy Throne

He suffered a perfect condemnation

These become ours through faith alone

We proclaim the Gospel, we tell of the Good News

There‘s  no condemnation– Now Satan can’t accuse

This is Good News-This is Good News

For we are the instruments God’s chosen to use

We don’t know the chosen, Truth’s not for us to choose

This is Good News-This is Good News

Eternal life we have in the Spirit

Because of the work of God’s Son

Now we are becoming God’s righteousness

By the Father’s will it is done

The free and unmerited gift is ours

Who Confess His name and believe

The price he paid is not the gift itself

But Christ is the gift we receive

Now what God requires He has provided

His  holiness is ours to own

Now all who call on His glorious name

Can stand faultless before God’s throne
