Father of the Heavenly lights...

who shines most beautifully

most gloriously in the darkness,

Gives us everything we need.

God’s light to us in our darkest days –

A comfort to our broken hearts.

Your compassion incarnates itself

In your children you have set apart

Father of the Heavenly lights...

Illuminate the darkness in me

Set us free and set us right

Purge this dire den of iniquity

You do not love us from a distance

Your tender mercy is revealed

In intimate and profound ways

As our vacant souls it fills
