There is a grace Beyond our comprehension

A grace far greater than desires that we hold dear

This gift of grace in Jesus’ intervention

For underserving captives of sin and fear

Amazing grace is evermore abounding

This blessed gift was once a mystery

And still it never fails to be confounding

That with our Lord we live in harmony

There is a love beautiful and bewild’ring

Abundant love that ever overflows

Where enemies become adopted children

This is its sign- when God’s love within us grows

What manner of love is this that overtakes us?

Love that pursues us to the very end

And once it’s caught us, it surely remakes us

As the Holy Love of God we apprehend

We feel the arms of God’s embrace

When we set our minds above

Peace forever flows from Grace

And Grace is bound in Love

These gifts of God shall ever more increase

Amazing grace, abundant love, astounding peace

There is a peace that passes understanding

A Holy Peace that only Christ can give

Where enemies are given a right standing

In reconciliation with our Father now to live

This blessed gift in believers’ hearts is reigning

Where there was turmoil once within the soul

It is cast out with tranquility remaining

And deep assurance that God is in control
