Peace you gave to us
Your peace you left with us
We were laborers in fallow fields
But one who comes to you and yields
Finds rest blessed rest
He shall be blessed
When he rests…
Rest in peace you pilgrims
Rest in peace you strangers
Aliens and sojourners
Weary from life’s toils and dangers
From your striving be released
Come rest in peace
Come Rest. Rest. Rest.
And be blessed
It is time now to be still
Rest in the center of God's will
Peace that passes understanding
In the grace by which you’re standing
While abiding you remain
New mercies will sustain
When you rest
Bridge
All who are striving and driven
The veil it has been riven
Free access you’ve been given
Sins atoned for and forgiven
Lay your head on Jesus’ breast
And rest
Rest in peace you pilgrims
Rest in peace you strangers
Aliens and sojourners
Weary from life’s toils and dangers
From your striving be released
Come rest in peace
Come Rest Rest. Rest.
And be blessed
Come Rest Rest. Rest.
And be blessed.
