What I’d Rather Be

I’d rather be wise than rich ,I’d rather be wise than rich 

When it comes down to choices I’d rather know which is which 

I’d rather be wise than rich

I’d rather be kind than smart. I’d rather be kind than smart 

Smart can get you into trouble. Kindness is a work of art. 

I’d rather be kind than smart.

I’d rather be plain than pretty. I’d rather be plain than pretty 

If people like you for your looks, Then it’s just a pity 

I’d rather be plain than pretty

If I am to change, God let me change The way you want me to

And let the change bring glory, Lord-Glory unto you…

Give me eyes to see clearly The way I ought to see

And let the changes transform me To what I ought to be

I’d rather be chill than cool. I’d rather be chill than cool 

If a man lives life all tensed up Then he’s just a fool. 

I’d rather be chill than cool.

I’d rather be plain than hot. I’d rather be plain than hot

Cause when you’re hot You’re burning. And when you’re not you’re not

I’d rather be plain than hot.

To the weak God gives His power, and to boast in self is wrong
