No Eye Has Seen

We come to worship at Immanuel's feet,
To seek his face and wonders meet!
Earth is too narrow to express
His glory, worth, or blessedness.
The whole creation can afford
But some faint shadows of my Lord;
Nature, to make his beauties known,
Must mingle colors not her own.

For no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
All the gifts God has prepared
Nor imagined in the heart of man
Gods grace to those who love him

O let me climb those higher skies,
Where storms and darkness never rise!
There he displays his power abroad,
And shines and reigns th' incarnate God.]
Nor earth, nor seas, nor sun, nor stars,
Nor heav'n, his full resemblance bears;
His beauties we can never trace,
Till we behold him face to face.

Bridge:
Our hearts will fully be revealed
As we cling to him in whom we’re sealed
In his presence at his throne
When we shall know as we are known
Our devastated hearts are healed.
The saints below and saints above
Joined by his Spirit and his love.
Worship empowered by his grace
Eye to eye and face to face.

For no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
All the gifts God has prepared
Nor imagined in the heart of man
Gods grace to those who love him
