Trust in the Lord

There is a straight and a narrow way

And a broad way where for your sins you have to pay

The broad way is where doubt and fear prevail

But the narrow way ‘s where God’s Word never fails.

If you’re walking that broad path lay down your load

Leave that path of destruction and walk on heaven’s road

That is where step by step the Shepherd leads us home

So come take that narrow way, no longer to roam

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

And lean not on your own understanding

In all your ways acknowledge Him

And He will direct your path 

Trust therefore in the Lord

Ease comfort and pleasure will never satisfy

For you end in outer darkness when you die

Forsake the broad way and Jesus now confess

Step out onto the narrow way and you’ll be blessed.
