Author of Our Days

We bring our needs We bring our praise

Your Spirit feeds us Our voice we raise

You hear our prayers-Your Grace we claim

You meet us there -As we exalt your Holy Name

We’ll set our mind On things above

In what is true we’ll find More than remnants of your love

Your mercies flow Each day they’re new

Our spirits know That they are true

We heed the call To lift you high

You are all in all So Your name we magnify

We bow our knee Our heads we raise

The darkness flees Before the author of our days

You write each one Of the days and years

And when they are done You draw us near

Now while we wait-Lord, give us grace

While in this state-To meet the challenges we face

And so we’ll share Others’ burdens as we go

That way you’ll bear as we follow, follow

Now as we walk this road That you have called us

It is an easy load As we follow you

We will follow you Until the end

In all we do Though we fail to comprehend

And step will keep We keep the pace

E’re we laugh or weep We fall up on your Grace
