Prevailing Hope

Once I walked in doubt and fear,

Christ was faithful, ever near.

Gracious words the Savior spoke.

He took my chains and gave me hope

Now His Spirit is my guide

Holy Is Your Name

My soul proclaims Your greatness, O Lord,

And my spirit rejoices in You, my Savior

Free Indeed

I carried a weight that was never mine to bear

Trying to climb a ladder that led to nowhere

Anxious and bound by the rules I couldn't keep

Crying out for mercy in the shadows deep

But a hand reached down to this prisoner’s plight

Shining with the fire of a holy light

He broke the lock, He pulled back the stone

And claimed my heavy spirit as His very own.

Now whom the Son sets free is free indeed!

My Savior came to me to intercede

The prison doors are open, the old life is dead

The oil of His gladness is poured upon my head

By His blood I am ransomed, by His grace I am healed

Set free to a liberty His Spirit revealed!

The accuser still whispers the debts of my past

Trying to tell me that the freedom won't last

But I point to the cross where the receipt was signed

Leaving every shadow of my guilt behind

No longer a slave to the fear or the blame

Of that old man that carried my shame

I look at the scars on the hands of the King

And open my heart just to stand and sing.

Lord, I know you always hear me

So I call out your Name

Draw me close as you draw near me

For you are Jehovah Rapha you are the Lord that heals

You are Elohim and Abba, these Names your Word reveals

You are El Elyon, You are God Most High

Yahweh Mekodisshkem the Lord who sanctifies

Lord, you know I always need you

You are God Almighty, my holy El Shaddai

You are Jehovah Nissi, my banner flying high

The day is coming and is now here

We worship in spirit and truth

If we’re undone in Holy Fear

We are the living proof!

The Unseen Light

'Neath the shadow of the cross

In the shadow of his wings

The outstretched arms of Jesus bid me come

In the shadows there is shade

Where my weary soul is stayed

There's a shelter where I hide till time is done

The shadows speak of something greater

By which their forms are cast

Things we cannot see till later

When this wilderness is past

Now in this darkened mirror

Glimpses of those days draw nearer

And we apprehend a longing in our souls

So we seek an unseen light

In the shadows of the night

For the things unseen will one day make us whole

Then the shadows yield our reason and our goal

The shadow of the cross is cast

Upon this wilderness so vast
