Lord give us the gift of
repentance
Pardon our iniquities
Convince us of sin
Convict us and
cleanse
And heal us of sin’s black disease
Lord give us the gift of
repentance
Humbly we fall to our knees
Shake our souls awake
And our stony hearts break
Till our heart with your heart agrees
So let our confession ring forth in the light
Forgiveness and pardon will be your delight
Purify and transform us and Lord make us right
By the gift of repentance tonight!
It’s your kindness that leads to repentance
All our good works
are worthless fool’s gold.
All our filthy rags smell
We deserve death and hell
But your just, holy wrath you withold!
Lord give us the gift of

The purging that Your Grace
supplies
Strip away all our shame
For the sake of your name
The contrite heart you’ll not despise!
