Tower of Refuge

It is good for the heart to be Strengthened by God’s grace

To be strengthened by his Spirit In the heart’s secret place.

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power,

For the name of our Lord is a strong,  strong tower.

And we will run to it for refuge  as we run this righteous race.

For matchless strength is built in us by waiting on the Lord

Christ’s resurrection power shall be our shield and sword!

Frail Children of dust -And feeble as frail,

In Jesus trust-Nor find Him to fail.

We shall be strenthened when His power is outpoured!

Mere mortal power shall fade and die, And youthful vigor cease:

But we that wait upon the Lord Shall feel our strength increase.

The weak shall mount on eagles' wings, We  shall walk and shall not faint

Till our  unwearied feet arrive To become perfected saints!

For waiting we shall see his power released!

For all our strength derives from waiting on the Lord

Resurrection power shall be our shield and sword!
