I Shall Rise

When from the dead our Lord arose, redemption now draws nigh
He gave our souls a Living Hope That we shall never die.
And though indwelling sins requires Our flesh return to dust,
Yet as the Lord our Savior rose, So all believers must.

And I shall rise, rise,
From the depth of the grave I will open my eyes
And view glory in the Easter skies
I shall rise, I shall rise
He will take me to His side
‘Neath his wings I shall hide
On that day when I shall rise!

There's an inheritance divine Reserved against that day;
'Tis uncorrupted, undefiled,And cannot waste away.
Saints by the power of God are kept Till the salvation come;
We walk by faith as strangers here, Till Christ shall call us home.

And I shall rise, rise,
From the depth of the grave I will open my eyes
And view glory in the Easter skies
I shall rise, I shall rise
He will take me to His side
‘Neath his wings I shall hide
On that day when I shall rise!

So now join in my song, you saved and sealed throng
Your voices raise, your hymns of praise to Him Belong
Blest be the everlasting God, The Father of our Lord;
Be his abounding mercy praised, His majesty adored.

For we shall rise, rise,
From the depths of the dark we will open our eyes
And view glory in the Easter skies
We shall rise, we shall rise
He will take us to His side
‘Neath his wings we’ll abide
On that day when we shall rise!
