Robes of Righteousness

Awake, my tongue; arise, my heart,
Lift up a hallowed voice;
In God, the life of all my joys,
Aloud will I rejoice.
He has adorned my naked soul,
And made salvation mine;
Upon our frail and feeble dust
He makes his graces shine.

Lord  clothe us in your righteousness-In robes your work has finished
Cover all our nakedness with glory undiminished!
In your garments of salvation in beauty so adorned
You fit us for Your presence where we dwell forevermore.

And lest the shadow of a stain
Should on my soul be found,
He took the robe the Savior wrought,
And cast it all around.
The Spirit wrought my faith, and love,
And hope, and every grace;
But Jesus spent his life to work
The robe of righteousness.

Lord  clothe us in your righteousness-In robes your work has finished
Cover all our nakedness with glory undiminished!
In your garments of salvation in beauty so adorned
You fit us for Your presence where we dwell forevermore.

Isa. 61:10.
