You grant sleep to those you love

Sweet peace from heaven above

Lord still the night

Give rest from the fight

Be the dream we are dreaming of

Lord give our hearts release

As the day’s distractions cease

Lord quiet our minds

As comfort we find

As we sleep in heavenly peace

 for the weary there is sweet  sleep

There in safety i will draw  near

You sustain me in my slumber deep

When i lay down i will not fear

Neath your wings i find my rest

Like a sparrow in her nest

There my soul shall sleep

Safe there in your keep
