A Touch of Grace

Trials will come and trials will go and dangers will remain

We must endure but Death is sure and simple and plain

But there is a mercy to behold in each test that we face

Embedded in each reality check is a touch of grace

Things don’t fall together they all fall apart

Our minds can’t fathom the secrets of God’s heart

But we know who he says He is and who He’ll ever be

To live and move and be in Him we find community

It is the gift of God-It is the gift of God

It is a gift of God-So no one may boast

It is the gift of God-It is the gift of God

It is the gift of God -So no one may boast

Bridge

Most things that we pursue right now will be gone without a trace

But if we see the unseen light we’ll feel the touch of Grace

Now, if we touched the least of these, we touch God’s very face

And as we’re touching others, we will feel the touch of Grace

Blessings may come in disguise, in unanticipated ways

If we see with wisdom’s eyes, lamentation may turn to praise

Cause when you feel the touch of God that Time cannot erase

You know that you have truly felt the touch of Grace

The future is not certain, whether great or full of dread

As God draws back the curtain for the living and the dead

Then all of life is mercy if we have the eyes to see

But we can walk together into God’s eternity

It is the gift of God-It is the gift of God

It is a gift of God-So no one may boast

It is the gift of God-It is the gift of God

It is the gift of God -So no one may boast
