Disappointed

I’m disappointed in me

Should’ve been able to see

Yeah, I’ve got no one to blame

It’s time for some well placed shame

I know I could’ve done better

I did the law of the letter

But my heart was in the wrong place

I was presuming on Grace

But if I confess my sins

God is faithful and just

He will forgive and cleanse 

If in him, I will trust

Somewhere along my descent

I truly failed to repent

What’s going my own way?

I couldn’t even pray

It’s time for a turnabout

It’s time to forfeit my doubt

And to distain my desire desires

The Lord gives what he requires

But if I confess my sins

God is faithful and just

He will forgive and cleanse
