Sinners we were when first called
Called to be ransomed from the fall
Sinners we’ve been even at our best
So of our need, we shall confess
We make the morning sacrifice
And know that His Grace shall suffice
For fresh absolution plead
Atoning blood is what we need
Cling to Christ and ne'er forget
How by His Grace He paid our debt.
Cling to Christ, Cling, I say
Rest in His mercy every day
Cling to Christ, I say, and show
How you love Him as you go
His Commandments to obey
His righteousness to display
Cling to Christ and to his cross
Where for our gain He suffered loss
Never, never be ashamed
Of His blood and of His name
Cling to Christ and never forget
How by his Grace He paid our debt.
Cling to Christ, Cling, I say
For He holds you fast every day
