Preach the Gospel

I will preach to myself the Gospel

I will dwell on it every day

For my life was changed by the Gospel

For it tells of the truth, life and way

I will raise up new stones of remembrance

And the memories of what God has done

I will call to mind the good news

Then I’ll tell it to everyone

I will set my mind on the Gospel

I will meditate on it each night

Then, as on my heart it is written.

I will know how to walk in the light

I will preach to myself the Gospel

It’s God’s power to all who believe

I am not ashamed of the Gospel

For through it new life is received

In this world, there is only one Gospel

That was given to us once for all

Though the world may sell a false gospel

I will scorn that and the truth recall

There is only one Gospel of Jesus Christ

He was crucified dead and was raised

I am saved by His final sacrifice

For his name’s sake- God be praised

I will set my mind on the Gospel

I will meditate on it each night

Then, as on my heart, it is written.

I will know how to walk in the light
