Live for the Eternal

Everything you can see will die

All you have will rot bye and bye

Every title you can earn will be

Lost for all  eternity.

Holy Bones

Lord be our guide through the unknown

Set us apart in consecration

Sift our souls and rattle our bones

To tremble at your great salvation

These bones they are surely dry 

But you will make them live

They heed Your call and will arise  

To flee the tomb when new life you give

So Many Songs

If the hope that we have of paradise

Is just a big mansion where we can dwell

And strutting our crowns before everyone’s eyes

A heaven without Jesus would be Hell

Or it would be just like a hall of mirrors

Where our infinite face we would see

A circus filled with narcissistic leerers

Consumed by self eternally

There are so many songs about heaven

Lord, that never even mention your name

I can’t even begin to imagine

Without you it wouldn’t be the same

For a heaven without my dear Jesus

Wouldn’t be a heaven at all

If it only existed to please us

It would be a prep for another Fall.

A kingdom without a king will not last

Our first thought of it should focus on Christ

To dwell in his courts when this world is passed

Without him it would never suffice

There are so many songs about heaven

Lord, that never even mention your name

If its about streets of Gold it’s a given

Without Jesus it would just be a game

If its just about the things that would please us

A reunion of family and friends we recall

Then a heaven without my dear Jesus

On Holy Ground

In the presence of the Lord we are blessed

To partake of His very righteousness

My every gain comes from His loss

My Sin was with Him on the cross

He did not see decay and on the third day

He rose victorious over death and the grave

And now His righteousness yields our holiness

The Holy Lamb was raised so we are saved

We take our stand on Holy Ground

And all who believe are now glory bound

Beneath His wings our perfect peace is found

In the presence of the Lord

He was made poor that we might be made rich

The great exchange creates a cosmic switch

We are made righteous, justified

So at the end of days we shall be glorified. 

For now the holy One, the beloved Son

Fulfilled the way for us to enter in

The veil was torn and we are reborn

In Him death died so we are dead to sin

Rest and Rejoice

Rest and rejoice, now saints of the Lord

Casting all of our burdens on Christ

Rest and rejoice, as God turns our hearts toward

The Savior and Shepherd- the One sacrifice

Lord, lead us beside the still waters

The place where your love overflows

Keep us and guide us-your sons and your daughters

As you save us from all of our foes

Rest and rejoice, ye children of light

Bask in the glow of our God’s grace

His glory shows forth to give us new sight

As we’re resting in  Jesus’ embrace

Lord, calm all our worries and turmoil

Overcome lingering unbelief

Plough our hearts and turn the good soil
