Every Stronghold

When the walls rise up around us,  When the darkness fills our eyes,

When the enemy surrounds us,  And chaos begins to rise,

We will not bow down to trouble,  We will not be overcome,

For the God who fights our battles  Has already won!

We will take down every stronghold, We will fight the righteous fight

We are advancing, strong and bold As we walk in the light

We will take captive every thought and argument that's raised

For with a price we have been bought-So for his glory, God be praised

We lift High His banner -let it be unfurled

The weapons that we fight with are not of this world

We will not be shaken! We will not retreat!

The God who fights our battles  Has won the victory!

We’ll lay down every burden, We surrender every fear,

For the One who dwells within us  Is our victory standing near.

Though the weapons may be forming, They’ll not have the final say,

For the Lord of hosts is with us, And He leads us all the way!

Bridge

Every chain must break, every prison wall,

At the name of Jesus, Strongholds surely fall

We pull down every fortress, Every lie that stands against His Word.

With the weapons of the Spirit,  We declare the truth is heard!

We take captive every thought now, Bring it underneath His name.

We refuse to live in bondage, We are covered by His grace.

Not by might and not by power, But by Your Spirit, Lord, we stand.

You are mighty in the battle,  And our lives are in Your hands!

We lift High His banner -let it be unfurled

The weapons that we fight with are not of this world

We will not be shaken! We will not retreat!

The God who fights our battles  Has won the victory!
