Keep in Step

Step by step we walk the line

One foot in front of the other

Step by step we keep in time

We follow the steps of another

For the Person that is leading you

Is wholly faithful and is true

We’ll keep in step and keep the pace

Till we can complete the race

And the goal, we shall draw near it

Listen to the beat- can you hear it?

If we live by the Spirit

Just keep in step with the Spirit

Keep in step with the Spirit

Follow where the Spirit leads

He will guide you as you go

If your soul, His direction heeds

Then abundant fruit shall grow

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness

Goodness, and true faithfulness

Gentleness and self control

T’is the produce of our soul

And the goal, we shall draw near it

Listen to the beat can you hear it?

If we live by the Spirit

Just keep in step with the Spirit

Keep in step with the Spirit
