Yes and Amen

Come drink  from the well that will never run dry

Living water flows deep and flows wide

There is nothing better and nothing beyond

Our soul-thirst is finally satisfied

For once we are quenched by this water

It fills us and then overflows

Obedience  to love comes by faith in this word

And out of that heart mercy grows

The presence and promise of Jesus

Frees us from the bondage of sin

The deepest longings of the soul

Find their yes and amen in Him

For He is the end of our quest 

We are among men the most blessed

Christ is the inexhaustible fountain 

Of life that forever lasts

Through faith  it will lead us to heaven

He blesses our future and redeems our past

Be set free from the sinful illusions 

Other satisfactions cannot yield

This he does by sending us his Spirit

Wherein by His grace we are sealed .

The Name Above All Names

Our Great God eternal, Virgin born

Lived a life devoid of Sin and Pride

Beloved Son, forsaken and forlorn

Our substitute in the death He died

His was the Bodily resurrection 

Now He is arisen from the grave

Taken up in Glorious ascension 

He ever lives to intercede and save

For Yahweh is Salvation

This endgame was Christ’s holy aim

Creator of One Holy Nation

Jesus Christ who bore our shame

To destroy the Devil’s works He came

His people now declare His fame

His is the name above all names

Of  the sovereign Lord we sing

He the final sacrifice

He is coming as judge and King

The One and Only Jesus Christ

For Yahweh is Salvation

All things that come to pass and come to be

Come by your permission or by your decree

Author and the finisher of this world's destiny

The Master of Reality

Who defines what is false and what is true?

Who reckons what is the right thing to do?

Who created from nothing and makes all things New?

None may your sovereign Will resist

To every thing there is a season

For every purpose a time exists

For You are the purpose and the reason

Who makes a holy purpose from our pain?

Who defines what is loss and what is gain?

Who is the One who every Good ordains?

The determines the depths and degree

Though we’re one little light shining in some darkened place

Nothing done in the cause of this kingdom is in vain.

The triumph is sure  as we run the holy race

For our God is the Mighty One who rules and reigns!

To the banquet on God’s holy mountain.

The reproach of God’s people nevermore shall be 

See  the veil of sorrow finally severed

For death shall be swallowed up in victory

Open the Windows of My Heart

Like a wounded reed , battered and bruised

I was afflicted, hurt and abused

In dire circumstances that made my soul ache

Though I was  beaten, this reed You did not break

Like a smoldering wick that still faintly burns

For  my former fire  My very heart yearns

You will not extinguish my very last spark

You fan it to flames and light what is dark

The sun of righteousness shall rise 

With healing in its wings

Wait for the Lord; and your heart will find 

The courage waiting brings

He will lift up your head 

And fan your spark into a flame. 

The Spirit of encouragement.¬¬

Knows each one of us by name.

My Soul Rests Upon the Rock

The Rock is the firm foundation

For everyone who builds

The Rock shall be your cornerstone

The Rock ‘s will is fulfilled

What does our Rock  say? 

I will forever  abide

Build on me and you will stand

For in me you can hide

My soul rests upon the Rock

My heart shall not be shaken

I will cling unto the Rock

And I will never be forsaken

The Rock’s heart, it is not  faint 

His arm does not grow weak 

Don’t seek another confidence

Or for another abiding place seek
