Sorrow

A worldly goods are taken

And we have sorrow

By friends, we are forsaken

And we have sorrow

With difficulties all around

By our troubles, we are bound

Everywhere we look they’re found

And we have sorrow

Our loved ones go down to the grave

And we have sorrow

Our hearts are frail, and sins we crave

And we have sorrow

The near and dear to us we grieve

For their refusal to believe

And just wrath they will receive

And we have sorrow

 Bridge

At Adam’s fall came the thistle and thorn

And the bitter cup that we must mourn

We drink that cup of sorrow and pain

Yet, before and behind us it remains

But in heaven there shall be no pain

There’ll be no sorrow

All our losses shall become gain

There’ll be no sorrow

No disease or weakness or decay

No farewell shall we ever say

Blessed be the Lord for that eternal day

There’ll be no sorrow

Blessed be the Lord for that eternal day

There’ll be no sorrow

There’ll be no sorrow…
