Unspeakable, incomprehensible
Gods only son was not spared
Our rebellion was indefensible
No greater love can be compared
He has spared not his own son
But delivered him up for us all
How will he not when its said and done
Freely give all things to the called?

The dead in sin now know perfect bliss

Our depths of sin is beyond our knowing
Our darkness we did not understand
And the evils we were sowing
Deserved the wrath of God’s right hand
Yet while we sinners were God’s enemies
Christ the Son God’s wrath did reap
He has died and arose to set us free
