What Love is This?

Unspeakable, incomprehensible 

God's only Son was not spared

Our rebellion was indefensible 

No greater love can be compared 

God has spared not his own Son

But delivered Him up for us all

How will He not- when it's said and done

Freely give all things to the called?

What love is this? What love is this?

That  saw  justice and mercy kiss

The dead in Sin now know perfect bliss

What love is this? What love is this?

Our depths of Sin is beyond our knowing 

Our darkness, we did not understand 

And the evils we were sowing

Deserved the wrath of God’s right hand

Yet while we sinners were God’s enemies

Christ the Son God’s wrath did reap

He has died and arose to set us free

Evermore our souls to keep

What love is this? What love is this?

That  saw  justice and mercy kiss
