All Hail the Cross of Christ

All hail the cross of Christ

We boast in the cross alone

There was made the final sacrifice

And righteousness was made known

All hail the cross of Christ

To meet the cost man had to pay

There, suffering for sin sufficed

And true glory was on display

Oh, the death and resurrection

The atonement and the righteousness

The finished work and rejection

Here, see the blood that we confess

Oh, the cross of our redemption

On Christ all our guilt was laid

He was wrath’s propitiation

And full atonement for sin was made

So  in the cross shall be our boast

Where the lamb was crucified

This cruel crossbeam and post

Where upon our Savior died

Though forsaken dead and buried

All the Sin he had to bear

Every one of them he carried

He arose and he left them there

All hail the cross of Christ

We boast in the cross alone

There was made the final sacrifice

There righteousness was made known

All hail the cross of Christ

To meet the cost man had to pay

There suffering for sin sufficed

And true glory was on display
