Rise Up and Bless the Lord

Oh you souls by sorrow bent

Give rise to your heart’s lament

Then to your very soul preach at last

Soul, why are you so downcast?

Rise up and greet the day

To languish you cannot afford

Rise up rejoice and obey

Rise up and hallow His name

Your spirit by His Spirit  raised

Make praise your endless aim

We live and move and walk by grace

All we who live in Him by faith

He shall overcome our woes 

For Christ our Lord arose

Arise  now with your strength restored

Rejoice for endless days
