Lord of the Harvest

Lord of the Harvest

You are the seed of the woman

You are the tiller of soil

You have put your hand to the plough

You worked and the toil

You were the seed that was planted

You were sown into the earth

In time you sprang forth as the first-fruit

Of a harvest of infinite worth

Now your spirit tills the hard soil

And sows your seed in the seedbed

They are placed deep in the furrows

And watered by the blood you shed

Now from your work we are the increase

A consecrated crop, raised in the light

You prune us so we can bear much fruit

Unto harvest the fields are now white

Lord of the harvest, your workers

Now labor go out to bring in the sheaves

To harvest the joy set before you

To reap what the sower receives

Chorus

Lord of the harvest come quickly

Come now to reap what you’ve sown

Of your increase there will be no ending

The fruit thats is borne is your own
