The Sole Root of Salvation

I will boast in the hope of the glory of God

I will boast with great acclamation

God did not appoint us to suffer wrath

But to receive salvation through our Lord

He placed our feet upon His righteous path

So we can live with Him in one accord

So wake up you sleepers and walk in the light

For the day of the Lord is at hand

We are not of the darkness, not of the night

But ready to rise and to stand!

Ready to heed His command!

Ready to rise up and stand!

So whether we live or whether we die

Whether asleep or awake

On our hope of salvation we shall rely

And worship Him for His Name’s sake
