Running to Your Grace

I’ve been running in the shadows

Building walls so tall and wide

Holding onto hidden sorrow

Now there’s nowhere left to hide

Lost the map and made my own way

With no guide I wandered far

Now I’m standing in the ruins

Of a heavy, broken heart

Chorus

So I turn, I turn around

Let my heavy walls come down

Clear the rubble, make me new

Father, I return to You

Where the mercy’s wide and deep

Here I fall upon my face

I lay my pride down at your feet

I am running to your Grace

All the promises I damaged

All the words I wish I said

Every time I tried to manage

The mess I made inside my head

I will surrender it all

I am tired of the chase

On your kindness I will fall

I am leaning on your Grace

Repeat Chorus

Bridge

For Your mercy I am yearning

By Your Spirit make me new

There’s no shadow, no returning

Nothing’s hidden from your view

You are the way, you are the light

You lead me out and make me right

Oh my Shepherd, be my guide

Jesus take me to your side!

Repeat Chorus
