The Unseen Hand

The shadows stretch and the road is long,

The weary heart longs to sing its song.

When the wind blows bold and the night is cold,

It’s hard to keep the faith to which I hold.

But I look back over where I’ve been,

And I see the grace that drew me in.

So I’ll hold on tight to the unseen hand,

Walking through the fires in this weary land.

It’s not by my strength, not by my own might,

But a settled trust through the darkest night.

Though my heart grows tired and tears fill my eyes

My hope is anchored in Christ- so I will arise!

The mountain stands like a wilding wall,

Tempting me to doubt, tempting me to fall.

But every step He will help me to believe,

The Grace that He freely gives I will receive

I will fix my gaze on the Risen Son

And finish the race that has begun.

(Bridge)

Faith is the anchor when the waters rise,

It’s seeing the unseen with spirit eyes.

The testing of hope proves He's inside,

In the shelter of His love, I will abide.

I’m holding on... to the very end.

Holding on... to the unseen hand

Holding on... to His unseen hand
